Age: 39.

Business & location: Centrally Rooted, Dubuque.

Founded: 2021.

Female you look up to: Pema Chodron, Dr. Becky and Brandi Carlile.

What inspired you to launch your business: Witnessing how our lack of self-acceptance and love can lead to severe brain health issues. I’m inspired to use the creative mind as a tool to cultivate resilience in real life ways to lean on through life.

Biggest thing you’ve learned or best advice you’ve received as a business owner: Trust in the process and the people that surround you. Delegate. Balls will drop. Forgive yourself, be strategic about what you take on, and be a continual lifelong learner. Be brave enough to show humility and vulnerability.

Your advice for other female entrepreneurs: Keep your boundaries and balance in check, but don’t be afraid to risk. Struggles are just as important as success.
