Business & location: Wicked Dame Wine & Bar, Dubuque.

Founded: 2018.

Female you look up to: Any woman that breaks from the expected norm, whether famous or the hard-working mom next door. We are all “Wicked Dames.”

What inspired you to launch your business: The desire to have a female friendly establishment, where a woman can feel at ease being out alone. However, we love that our bar is a place made full of fun memories for all.

Biggest thing you’ve learned or best advice you’ve received as a business owner: I was told that while you have a vision of what you want as a business, inevitably, your customers will dictate a lot of what will makes you successful. Adapt to change.

Your advice for other female entrepreneurs: Go for it with hard work, gratitude and no regrets. So many will help you along the way.
